  • Welcome to Megan Jones, a Guide leader from Weaver, who has agreed to become our County International Adviser.
  • 4 girls who went for selection have been accepted on the NWE Region International Community Experience (ICE) to Malta 2020.

Celebrate 2020

  • Planning for our County adult volunteer celebration is well underway
  • This will be a social event with the presentation of long service and good service awards for adult members.

Adventure into Guiding Saturday 12 Sept 2020

  • Our County young member celebration as well as a chance to showcase our “What next….” Opportunities

Safe Space

  • Since 2018, our County trainers, Dorothy and Claire, have trained 108 people at Level 2 and 108 at Level 3
  • As of 10 Dec Level 3 has moved to a single stage process
  • If you need this for your role this means you ONLY need to attend a face to face session and do not need to do the e-learning before attending.

District Competition update

  • Congleton Cloud District in the lead…..only 3 people left to complete the training they need for their role!

  • Bronze and Silver Awards – unit leaders should order Bronze and Silver awards directly. Only Gold awards need to be ordered through the County badge secretary.

Good News from Divisions and Trefoil

  • To make better use of these reports it was agreed that they would now form the basis of the Celebration email and this would become a termly publication.

  • Please invite your local Trefoil members to your events to help raise the profile of the Guilds and change social perception of the organisation.

  • Next Regional Awards Committee is to be held in January – Nominations to Claire Worth (who has taken over this role from Judy Povey) for Region Commissioners Awards by 15 December 2019
  • Claire is developing a nomination form for County Good Service and Thanks awards. For adults this will be released 11th Feb 2020 for nominations by 1st April 2020.
  • Claire is also developing an award for girls too, to be presented at our autumn “Adventure into Guiding” event. An award given in recognition of girls who have demonstrated how they are keeping their Promise. Nomination forms will be available from 1st April 2020 for submission by 1st July 2020. Nominations can be made by anyone.
