Every member needs to complete a Safe Space training. By December 2020 everyone needs to have the correct level of A Safe Space training for their role recorded on GO.
There are four levels of training and all volunteers will need to do Level 1

You can get your safeguarding training off to a good start by completing the e-learning A Safe Space, Level 1 – An Introduction. and the e-learning level 2. To find out which levels you need to complete for your role in guiding use the link above and then click “check the A Safe Space training required for your role”.

Safe Space Level 3 trainings will be held during the Spring term 2020, dates and venues still to be confirmed but will be within the county.
To book a place, please e-mail the Safe Space Team stating how you would like your name on the certificate, also include your membership number. There is no charge for these trainings.
A Safe Space, Level 4 – Managing concerns, allegations and disclosures
Who is this for? For all commissioners, designates, deputies and those sharing a role, trainers delivering A Safe Space, safeguarding leads and A Safe Space adviser.
Training details: there will be 8 trainings across both weekends and midweek days. These trainings will be 10am – 3pm including a break for lunch.
